scrub real hard

If you click on one link today, make it this one. It is officially the craziest thing I have ever heard. 14 minutes of Ghostface Killah railing against bad hygiene and encouraging slackers to "invent a new toilet bowl". I couldn't make this stuff up.

The poster for Be Kind Rewind is up at Director File.

You Ain't No Picasso has put together an mp3 mix for my favorite film of 2007, the Coen brothers' No Country for Old Men.

Flood Watch Music has some interesting (if a bit disheartening) thoughts on the Wu's new record, 8 Diagrams.

The first season of Dirty Jobs is now available on DVD. God love the Discovery Channel.

In today's David Simon news, the creator of The Wire has another show out later this year. I'm taking off work tomorrow to watch the entire fourth season. Seriously.

There's a profile of Cat Power up on The New Yorker, just in time for January's covers record, Jukebox.

Speaking of Matador, Yo La Tengo is playing the Belcourt next month.

And in Best of 2007 news...

> ... Gorilla vs. Bear's list is pretty good, with a nice selection of preview mp3s...

> ... Drowned in Sound starts off with #s 25-21...

> ... Uncut (correctly?) gives the top spot to LCD Soundsystem...

> ... and post of the day has gotta go to Merry Swankster, who predicts all the major lists.
