hell yes

It's the end of the year, so wrap-ups abound. My own list of Albums of the Year will be up shortly, but until then, please enjoy:

The 2009 Year-End Google Zeitgeist is an interesting read.

The Literary Review's Bad Sex in Fiction Award 2009 is pretty funny.

Gorilla vs. Bear's Albums of 2009 is nice because it includes mp3s.

Said the Gramophone's Best Songs of 2009 is nice because it includes a zip file.

Same thing goes for The 50 Best Hip-Hop Songs of 2009 over at Passion of the Weiss.

Maxmillion Dunbar's '09 Cutz Mix is for all you dance/electronic heads.

The Music Club at Slate is always my favorite year-end read.

4AD is giving away a free 12-track sampler of their 2009 output.

The Best (and Worst) Movies of the Decade over at Metacritic is worth your time.

Oh, and some other stuff happened on the internet besides year-end stuff:

Pop Dose reminds us of Ten Great Title Sequences.

My favorite album art of the decade was for Person Pitch by Panda Bear. Sleevage has an interview with the artist.

Syfy is streaming the pilot episode of Caprica, the prequel series for Battlestar Galactica.
