i got the gift that keeps on givin'

Which Mediocre Film Will You See This Weekend?

Will it be Blindness, Fernando Meirelles' (City of God) adaptation of Nobel laureate José Saramago's dystopian novel?  Reviews have been mixed, but that's where I'll be crossing my fingers.

What about Religulous, Larry Charles' (Borat) sure to be caustic documentary that follows Bill Maher's ego around America, making fun of backwoods yokels?  If you like Maher, you'll like the movie.

Or maybe Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, Peter Sollett's (Raising Victor Vargas) tale of ... oh, you've seen the commercials.  The Village Voice says the "only thing it's an alternative to? Good."

Or maybe you hate yourself enough to endure An American Carol, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, or, for the NPR (read: geriatric) crowd -- Flash of Genius.  What a weekend.

Can I suggest cozying up to The Five Scariest Movies Ever, according to The New Yorker?

In unrelated news -- awwwwwwww Tarantino Babies!

That nick and nora review actually summed up many of my feelings on Juno. Also, you're GAY. Also, read my novel.
