February 25th, 2008 may go down as one of the better days in recent memory. So the Oscars were a little ho-hum this year, but who cares when you consider the following:
Stereogum is streaming the new LCD Soundsystem track from the stupid-looking 21 soundtrack.
Sonic Youth is coming to Nashville on April 25.
Someone got a hold of a 1967 Velvet Underground live bootleg that features a never-before-released song. And it's AWESOME.
On the heels of three technical awards last night, Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon are making a fourth Bourne movie.
Jack White is the hardest working man in music.
YANP 1) has a cute interview with Caribou's Dan Snaith and 2) liked Be Kind Rewind as much as I did. The critical reception to this movie is baffling.

i get where you're coming from, but hey, i don't think the oscars were dull at all. it was a great night for anyone who's ever watched a foreign movie -- and cotillard's speech was adorable and inspiring! -- and my personal favorite of 2007 won best picture. wow. how did that happen??
you're gay.
